As a Senior Software Engineer you will be an agent of progressive change, modernizing the software development practices within our Power & Sensor Systems (PSS) business division.
In your new role you will:

  • Drive the development of products in our division that utilize our software development environment (ModusToolbox)
  • Be responsible for streamlining product delivery (from silicon to software) with individual software project teams
  • Evangelize and implement modern software practices
  • Contribute to build system solutions for projects utilizing ModusToolbox (CI/CD, dependency management, Docker, GitLab)
  • Oversee development & support of PCB interfacing tools
  • Organize knowledge sharing sessions and training on software best practices and ModusToolbox

You are a skilled software engineer that enjoys empowering others to raise their competence level and lead by example. You are equally comfortable producing your own solutions or collaborating with others to achieve the best results. You love to get the details right, but do not lose sight of the big picture. Lastly, you enjoy developing your knowledge and staying up-to-date on the latest technological developments.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Electrical Engineering or multiple years of relevant work experience in a similar role
  • Several years of experience in software development preferably in the semiconductor industry
  • Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals such as object oriented principles, software development lifecycle, and clean code
  • Experience with C/C++ development preferably in an embedded environment with a solid understanding of System-on-Chip (SoC) architectures
  • Practical experience with configuration management & modern build systems/tools covering the whole software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment preferred
  • Excellent communicator that is willing to take initiative and be an agent of progressive change
  • Familiar in working with common software process methodologies including agile methods (Scrum, Kanban, Lean & DevOps)
  • Fluent English skills, German is advantageous
