Our customer analytics team supports our colleagues with data-based insights on questions relating to our customers. We evaluate who buys from us and who uses our services. The focus is always on the interests and needs of our customers. We want to find out which topics, products and trends play a role. In doing so, we analyze how our customers react to our communication measures and services - and how we can best reach them.

Your tasks

  • Preparation of the necessary database for ad hoc analyzes by querying, linking and enriching the relevant data from various sources with SQL and Python
  • Responsible for the development, implementation and operation of reporting tables
  • Handling data warehouse solutions and open source tools (e.g. Hadoop and Zeppelin)
  • Analysis, interpretation and processing of data on marketing measures, customer behavior and deriving concrete recommendations for action
  • Initiation of and participation in data-driven projects
  • Close cooperation with our IT subsidiary dmTECH
  • Advice to our assortment, communication and eCommerce teams on analytical issues

Your skills

  • Several years of professional experience as a data analyst or in a comparable analytical field
  • Excellent analytical skills and a strong affinity for numbers and key figure development
  • In-depth knowledge of relational databases and understanding of how to deal with large amounts of data, especially querying and processing them in database systems using SQL
  • Good knowledge of a common statistical programming language such as Python, SAS or R
  • Ideally, first experience with data lake technologies and their interaction with classic data warehouse environments
  • Teamwork, initiative, an independent and result-oriented way of working as well as enjoying new technologies and communicating with our internal stakeholders
