Core Responsibilities :
Involvement with the activities and implementation of data analyzes and management softwares for the SKAO
Active participation in the SKA Regional Center Network (SRCNet)
Implementation of efficient avenues of computation, eg, through DASK/xarrays, casacore, GPU-based imaging of visibilities, etc., and exploitation of novel data science techniques, eg, Bayesian methods, machine learning, data provenance, etc.
Core Requirements:
A PhD in Data Science, Mathematics, Astrophysics or equivalent field of research.
Experience with data science related to chunking/striping of large data arrays, efficient array manipulations and FFT algorithms, MPI, etc. Proficiency in CPU-based programming, eg, C, C++, FORTRAN, python, java. Experience with GPU programming...
