The water association Eifel-Rur (WVER) is responsible for the livelihood of the region: our waters. These supply people with drinking water and the economy with water for production. As a habitat for plants and animals, our bodies of water play a key role in preserving biological diversity. At the same time they are used for recreation and tourism. The WVER ensures that the protection and use of water bodies are reconciled. Our aspiration: to create and maintain attractive river landscapes with an intact water cycle – always safeguarding the interests of local residents and the economy. This is how we shape the living environment of the citizens of our region with great commitment and a sense of responsibility.
