With over 1,200 beds and around 3,200 employees and trainees, the Carl Thiem Clinic is the largest employer in Cottbus and is one of the largest and most efficient hospitals in Germany. The CTK is a high-performance medical center with over 20 clinics, departments and sections and stands for excellent, comprehensive medical care. More than 100,000 patients are treated as inpatients and/or outpatients every year. We are on the exciting path to becoming a university hospital. The first students should be able to begin their medical training in Cottbus in 2026. At the same time, the CTK will develop into a digital lead hospital. An important signal for the development of the region, but above all for the future direction of medical care.
