Emschergenossenschaft

The Emschergenossenschaft and Lippeverband together form the largest wastewater disposal company and operator of wastewater treatment plants in Germany. We are united by the common goal of creating ecologically, technically, and aesthetically compelling solutions for the Emscher and Lippe rivers – in the region and for the region. In the Emscher and Lippe region, the demands of human and natural resources compete for resources. Our task is to bring these demands into a sustainable balance. Living and working must be possible, as must the regeneration of vibrant, biodiverse river landscapes – no easy task in a region that would frequently be underwater without our work. In one of Europe's largest metropolitan areas, between Holzwickede and Dinslaken, and the adjacent Lippe region to the north, between Hamm and Wesel, we stand for modern and innovative water management. The rivers of our region have changed their character several times. Originally, they were unregulated watercourses in rural areas, then open sewers in a densely populated industrial landscape. Now they are being transformed back into idyllic waterways in a metropolitan area that is actively driving structural change towards services and technology. Shape the sustainable future of the Emscher and Lippe rivers! Whether you have professional experience, vocational training, university studies, or an internship: We offer a secure and varied workplace.
