We stand for independence and new approaches in the energy sector, recognize opportunities, implement innovative projects, and work in a results-oriented and customer-focused manner. Under the motto "Ideas. Together. Implemented.", we form a dynamic and collaborative team of around 300 employees, where everyone is on a first-name basis – from the junior staff to the CEO. Formally, we are a municipal utility cooperative with 58 shareholders from Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, and Switzerland. We represent the interests of municipal utilities and local energy suppliers, strengthening their independence and competitiveness in the energy market. We support municipal utilities in fulfilling their supply responsibilities along the entire energy value chain. In energy trading and procurement, we combine energy and IT interests and leverage synergies. We are active in conventional and renewable energy generation and operate a gas storage facility. Furthermore, we develop new business models for municipal utilities. With the Trianel Digital Lab, we have created the first municipal digital innovation workshop, where we work with municipal utilities to explore the various facets of digitalization and implement them in pilot projects.
