Your tasks
Our chair for data science in mechanical engineering is part of an exciting new research project that aims to take production technology to a new technological level. Together with other research groups, we are working to realize the concept of "universal lights-out manufacturing" - autonomous, universal manufacturing that can respond to volatile markets in a highly flexible, efficient and robust manner.
You will work on key aspects of the project for our chair and will be in close contact with experts from the fields of manufacturing technology, process optimization and machine learning. Your focus will be on the development of automated data processing pipelines that, for example, derive production parameters and configurations from diverse data and models of the systems and products. In doing so, you will combine methods of machine learning, optimization and physically based modeling. You will investigate how pipelines can be automatically...
