JOB PURPOSE / ROLE As an actuarial data scientist in Group Actuarial, Planning and Controlling - Actuarial Non-Life (GAPC-NL) you will develop solutions for analyzing and estimating claims experience. You want to focus on predictive analytics and use machine learning approaches to implement state-of-the-art solutions. You want to be part of a small team and collaborate closely with international data scientists and data engineers. You want to keep up to date with the industry and build bridges to the traditional actuarial world. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop new concepts for analyzing and estimating claims experience Enhance actuarial analyzes by using machine and artificial intelligence approaches Build solutions from scratch to end in an efficient and ready-to-use way Evangelize team members and against audience Drive forward actively streamlining and automating internal processes KEY REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE Qualification: Tertiary qualification (ideally Master or PhD), preferably in (Insurance) Mathematics or Data Science Strong analytical and conceptual capabilities, problem solving ability Proven expertise in machine learning and artificial intelligence is required Programming experience in Python is a must, R would be a plus Experience with handling databases (SQL) would be beneficial Software development orientation is a plus (agile, Git) Experience / Knowledge with Spark would be beneficial Experience & Key Skills: Advanced knowledge of non-life insurance and its actuarial concepts Very good proficiency of the English language, German language is beneficial Good communication and presentation skills, especially ability to convey information to non-expert audience and senior management Pro-active communication approach and strong ability to work independently ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Senior Recruiter: Ms. Sabrina DiClemente Phone: +49 (0) 89 3800- 69518 Please submit your applications only via the tool (blue button above).
