As our Junior Data Analyst, you will work closely with Data Analysts and Data Engineers to provide insights and analyses that drive product and business strategy and decision making. You will be at the heart of building a data-driven company by also sharing your data knowledge and helping stakeholders to become data independent.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You live and breathe data and anything that can be accomplished with it
You contribute to our current set of analytical projects (recurring and ad-hoc analyses, data integrations, tool implementations, data modeling, and dashboards) as well as enhance our data systems
You design and perform data analysis, interpret results and synthesize recommendations
You create, maintain and improve our reports and dashboards as well as data models (in Looker)
As a business partner to product and business functions, you identify trends in our data, provide insights to management, and can communicate with the CxO level; overall, you evangelize the value of data and insights at Contentful
You collaborate with Data Engineers to enhance data structures/infrastructure and to develop data automation solutions
You maintain and share knowledge of data management and data visualization among teams
You hold a quantitative degree from a top university (computer science, physics, mathematics, statistics, econometrics or other quantitative field)
You have up to 1-2 years of hands-on experience with data analytics
You are familiar with analytics such as user cohort, activity and engagement measurement, marketing & sales analytics
You are fluent in SQL, R and Python are strong advantages
You have experience with data visualization tools (Looker or Tableau skills preferred)
You have an understanding of core data technology concepts (DW, ETL, real-time events collection and storage, etc.)
You have an inquisitive mind, are detail oriented, highly accurate and possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
You have excellent communication skills in English
