Welcome to the Hamburg University of Technology! "Engineering to face climate change" - that is why we train young people to become committed engineers who have technology and sustainability in common. The TU Hamburg stands for successful reforms, unconventional paths and impulses. It was the first German university to introduce the university bachelor's degree in 1994 and attracts students from all over the world with its extensive English-language programs. The TU cooperates with renowned universities worldwide, and the active exchange of students is part of our international orientation. We experience "technology for people" every day on campus in our research fields: Advanced Materials & (Bio-)Processes, Aviation & Maritime Technologies, Cyber Physical & Medical Systems, Environmental & Energy Systems and Logistics, Mobility & Infrastructure are the profile-defining topics of the TU Hamburg. In this way, we also stand for the development of Hamburg as an innovative metropolis. The TU makes important contributions to this, for example by supporting the transport and energy transition or the path to sustainable and resilient logistics with technologies for people. We are also working on this together with our business and industry partners. 14 Bachelor's and 24 Master's degree programs at the TU Hamburg can also be studied on a dual basis. The startup center Startup Port@TUHH and Tutech Innovation GmbH actively promote entrepreneurship and science transfer. Our students are getting a little closer to "technology for people" every day: in basic lectures, in internships, or in elective subjects, they always have the goal in mind of making Hamburg, the region and the world a little bit better - with the knowledge and methods of engineers. Because: "Technically, this is possible"! Yours, Andreas Timm-Giel President
