The Hannover Veterinary University Foundation (TiHo) stands for many years of expertise in veterinary medicine. It is an important scientific institution that combines modern science with university tradition. Since its foundation in 1778 as the Roß-Arzney School, it has maintained its independent status to this day and thus occupies a special position in Germany. At the beginning of 2003, the TiHo was converted into a foundation university - the state of Lower Saxony has granted the university greater autonomy and thus more creative freedom.
