With the help of pioneering technologies, we are driving Berlin's development into a smart city and supporting the city in its energy transition and the use of environmentally friendly resources. This also means that we supply the capital and thus the entire diversity of Berlin, from the Bundestag to the dance hall on the Spree. We are responsible for ensuring that every Berliner receives reliable electricity every day, all year round. Around 35,200 km of cables stretch across Berlin at three voltage levels. We maintain the diverse cityscape of green spaces, architecture, and art by keeping a large portion of the cables underground throughout the entire city. This guarantees a high level of supply security, as our cables are largely protected from external damage and weather influences.
