The Medical Service Berlin-Brandenburg conducts social medical and nursing assessments on behalf of the statutory health and long-term care insurance funds of Berlin and Brandenburg. Furthermore, the Medical Service advises these funds and their associations on important issues. In addition, the Medical Service reviews the structure of hospitals on behalf of the health insurance funds to ensure they meet the requirements for billing certain services to the health insurance funds.
