To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer (m/f/d) to take our data platforms and pipelines to the next level. As a Senior Data Engineer (m/f/d) at Eberlein Kunz, you will be a key part of our Data & Analytics team
.
You will develop modern data pipelines in Microsoft Azure and Fabric, ensure data quality, efficiency, and scalability – and thus lay the foundation for data-driven decisions throughout the company.
- Setting up, operating and further developing Azure Data Pipelines in Microsoft Fabric
- Ensuring data quality, completeness, and reproducibility
- Introduction of incremental charging processes to increase efficiency
- Development of monitoring, logging and fault handling systems
- Setting up and maintaining test, staging and production environments
- Close collaboration with the Head of Data & Analytics and Data Analysts to provide data for Power BI dashboards and machine learning models.
- Contributing to the development of a scalable data architecture (e.g., CI/CD, dbt, Airflow, Fabric Pipelines)
- Documentation and optimization of data flows as well as ensuring cost efficiency
- Development and maintenance of API-based data connections
qualification
- 5+ years of experience in building and operating data pipelines or platforms
- Excellent knowledge of Azure Data Services, Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory / Synapse
- Solid experience with SQL and Python (ETL/ELT, automation)
- Experience with incremental data loading and delta processes
- Knowledge of data modeling (bronze/silver/gold layer) and data quality assurance
- Experience in data integration for Power BI and semantic layers
- Routine in monitoring, logging and performance optimization
- Structured, independent work style and team orientation
- Fluent German skills and good English skills
Nice to have
- Experience in e-commerce or Amazon environments
- Knowledge of API data pulling, Openbridge, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Interested in machine learning integration
- Enthusiasm for data-driven business development
