AI Architect (m/f/d)

At M2, you'll support our AI architecture and platform projects from conception to operation.
Working closely with experienced project and system owners (including the technical lead), you'll ensure projects progress in a structured manner, information is presented transparently, and decisions are well-prepared.
You'll work at the interface between AI technology, platform engineering, enterprise systems, and operations, gaining deep insights into modern AI, microservices, and cloud architectures. If you wish, you can develop step by step towards an independent architect, project, or lead role. This role is ideal for technically minded AI architects, platform engineers, or project coordinators who want to actively shape projects without directly assuming full system or management responsibility.

• Designing the AI ​​target architecture: Transforming existing AI solutions into a microservices-based architecture with clear APIs and domain boundaries.
• Making AI services production-ready: containerization, operation, scaling, high availability, and secure rollout/rollback strategies.
• Define integration & communication: REST/gRPC, event-based communication, API gateway and connection to enterprise systems
• Ensuring Security & Identity: SSO, OAuth2/OIDC, IAM/RBAC, Secrets Management and Secure Service Exposure
• Establishing MLOps & Governance: CI/CD, Model Serving, Monitoring, Logging, and Quality and Compliance Standards

qualification

• Completed IT studies or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in enterprise/solution architecture or as a senior engineer with architectural responsibility
• Excellent knowledge of microservices, containers and Kubernetes including deployment, scaling and CI/CD
• Solid experience in Security & Identity (SSO, OAuth2/OIDC, IAM) and a solid understanding of networks
• Practical experience in operating AI/ML systems (MLOps, Model Serving) and interface competence between Data Science and Engineering
• Excellent German and English skills as well as a strong analytical and structured work style.
