Your tasks:
- As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will design and develop technical and organizational IT security standards for the MERKUR Group in close coordination with the CISO.
- They analyze, evaluate and process security incidents and take on tasks in the areas of incident response and threat modeling.
- In addition, you will conduct vulnerability analyses, penetration tests and security assessments, and derive appropriate measures.
- They build and continuously develop security monitoring and detection use cases.
- Furthermore, they advise MERKUR subsidiaries on technical IT security solutions and evaluate new technologies from a security perspective.
- Last but not least, you will be responsible for the MERKUR Security Community and act as a direct reporting line to the Group CISO.
- We want to promote “serious gaming” and encourage participation in formats such as “Capture the Flag” to promote security know-how.
Your qualifications:
- Completed studies in computer science, IT security or a comparable qualification, alternatively relevant training (e.g. IT specialist for system integration) with corresponding professional experience.
- Several years of professional experience in the field of cybersecurity or IT security
- Excellent knowledge in several of the following areas: security architectures, DevSecOps, network and perimeter security, endpoint security, cloud security, identity and access management, SIEM/SOC
- Experience in Incident Response, Threat Analysis and Vulnerability Management
- Strong technical understanding, analytical thinking skills and a pronounced hands-on mentality
- Independent, structured and solution-oriented work style, as well as willingness to travel approximately 10–20% of the time.
