Freelance Business Data Analyst (m/f/d)

The innovative industry products can be operated by the customer themselves or in the cloud.

For an ongoing ERP implementation project, we are looking for an experienced freelance Business Data Analyst / Data Architect (m/f/d) with clear expertise in data migration, data harmonization and system integration.

This role is crucial for a successful ERP implementation across multiple business units.

Project duration: up to 4 months | 3–4 days per week | Start at short notice

• Data analysis and structuring
• Conducting workshops with business units to define data requirements
• Definition of relevant data objects, fields and attributes for extraction
• Analysis of complex data landscapes from multiple source systems
• Identification of inconsistencies, duplicates, and quality gaps
• Definition of technical migration and cleanup rules
• Data harmonization and modeling
• Harmonization of data models within and between business units
• Development and documentation of source-to-target mappings
• Translation of technical requirements into structured data models
• Contribution to company-wide standardization
• Data migration and quality assurance
• Structuring contract data for ERP import
• Conversion of unstructured data (e.g., PDF contracts) into structured formats
• Coordination of data cleansing and normalization
• Support with migration testing
• Ensuring measurable and sustainable data quality
• Contributing to the go-live readiness of the data
• Project collaboration
• Close coordination with project management and implementation team
• Comprehensible documentation of data structures and transformation logics

• Several years of experience in ERP implementation or data migration projects
• Solid experience in source-to-target mapping and data harmonization
• Expertise in the field of Data Quality Management
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics or similar)
• Understanding of business processes and contract logic
• Basic technical understanding (SQL, databases)
• Experience in workshop facilitation and stakeholder management
• Fluent German skills (mandatory)
• Excellent English language skills
