Data Analyst - Data Quality & Reporting Enablement (f/d/m)

For our Data Quality Management department, we are seeking a Data Analyst - Data Quality & Reporting Enablement to start as soon as possible at our Helmstedt, Lüneburg, or Salzgitter locations (please indicate your preferred location), with a fixed-term contract until December 30, 2027.

Our TBG department consists of a team leader and an interdisciplinary team of data governance and data management experts. Together, we ensure and develop data quality at Avacon – from standards and roles to monitoring and improving critical network data, and supporting digitalization, automation, and AI applications.

We work closely with operations, planning, IT, and management, and are the central point of contact for all matters relating to data quality, data governance, and the responsible handling of data. Open communication, team spirit, and a shared passion for reliable data characterize our daily work.

A challenging task

• Data preparation and harmonization: Preparation, transformation, and harmonization of data from the EDH (E.ON Data House) to Azure Databricks, as well as from operational source systems. Ensuring consistently high data quality throughout the entire data stream.
• Data quality: Provision of quality-assured data products for reporting, monitoring and analysis applications, as well as development of robust data pipelines to supply analytical and operational systems.
• ETL processes & automation: Design, implementation and operation of ETL processes (extraction, transformation, loading) and further development of existing pipelines, including automation and stabilization.
• System analysis & data modeling: Analysis of source systems, structures and data flows as well as modeling of analytically usable data models (conceptual, logical, physical).
• Data Management & Governance: Support with data quality measures, rules, standards and metadata maintenance, as well as participation in monitoring and improving critical network data within the framework of data governance processes.

A convincing background

• Education & Qualifications: Completed studies in computer science, business informatics or a comparable qualification; alternatively, several years of relevant professional experience in the data environment.
• Technology & Tools: Very good knowledge of Azure Databricks, SQL and ETL processes; experience with Power BI (especially in data provisioning for reports); knowledge of Python, Git, CI/CD and REST interfaces; ideally experience with EDH architectures, data governance or data quality management.
• Working style: Analytical, structured and quality-oriented working style; high customer focus as well as process-oriented, pragmatic thinking; personal responsibility, self-organization and proactive work; enjoyment of cross-team collaboration and constructive communication.
• Languages: Very good German and English skills (at least C1).
