We are looking for you to join our Energy Trading IT department at our Aachen location.
Your tasks – your energy makes the difference
- Development work – further development of our new data platforms for energy market data and analytics; definition and implementation of efficient data architectures for analytics processes, including near-real-time data analysis for use by data analysts and data scientists; integration of AI and ML into data processing and analysis processes.
- Collaboration - Close collaboration with the specialist departments to independently understand and implement data requirements (including requirements analysis and specification, implementation, quality assurance and operation)
- Optimization work – optimization of data architecture and performance; automation of data processes
- Monitoring work - Implementation of measures to ensure data integrity and monitoring of data quality

- Education - Completed studies in (business) informatics, data science or a comparable field of study
- Qualifications - Several years of professional experience as a Data Architect / Data Engineer or in a comparable role; sound experience in building and operating solutions in cloud platforms (Azure); experience in data architecture (Data Vault 2.0), data modeling and building data pipelines including quality assurance
- Expertise – Strong technical knowledge in data integration and the transformation of large datasets; in-depth knowledge of data provisioning as a data lakehouse and (near-real-time) analytics streams; know-how in integrating AI and ML into data processing and analysis processes; good knowledge of SQL, Python, dbt, and experience with Snowflake and the Azure Tech Stack
- Personality - Strong teamwork skills, structured and goal-oriented work style; good analytical and conceptual thinking skills, high degree of initiative
