ZURICH AIRPORT

Start: September 2026 | Duration: 18 months

Do you want to hit the ground running after graduation and contribute your passion for data in a dynamic, international environment? Then this trainee program is your ideal entry into the world of data!

At the Data & Analytics Competence Center (DACC), we actively shape the data-driven future of our company. In interdisciplinary Scrum teams, we develop modern data and analytics solutions: We build and operate our cloud-based data platform, develop core data products and dashboards, and empower business units to implement their own use cases via self-service. With our expertise, clear standards, and best practices, we ensure that data generates real added value – from data engineering and business intelligence to data governance and artificial intelligence.

During your 18-month trainee program, you will gain in-depth insights into data engineering, data analytics, and business analysis. You will actively work on real-world use cases – from the initial idea and prototyping to production implementation. In addition to project work, you'll benefit from a structured development program with internal workshops, training sessions, and numerous networking opportunities. This will allow you to build a valuable network throughout the company and develop both professionally and personally!

Your job destination

  • As a Data Engineer, you will develop robust and reusable data pipelines with Databricks and Azure Data Factory, ensuring that our data is available reliably, efficiently, and in a scalable manner.
  • In an agile Scrum Development Team, you actively participate, take responsibility for your topics, and contribute to driving forward innovative data and analytics solutions.
  • As part of Proof of Concepts, you will apply your knowledge in exploratory data analysis, develop prototypes and test new approaches that take our data-driven work to the next level.
  • You will support our business owners in identifying and developing data-driven use cases, thus helping to create real added value from data.

Your skills in tow

  • You have successfully completed your studies in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Business Informatics or a comparable field – your degree was awarded no more than 12 months ago.
  • Data engineering and statistical data analysis are among your strengths: you have initial practical experience in creating data pipelines with Python (PySpark) and ideally have already worked with cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure.
  • Software development is not unfamiliar to you, and you would like to further develop your technical skills and take them to the next level within the framework of the trainee program.
  • Thanks to your strong analytical and conceptual skills, you are able to present complex content in a clear, structured and understandable way.
  • You are interested in building or expanding your aviation knowledge – as well as working in a dynamic and diverse work environment.
  • You impress with your initiative, commitment, strong communication skills and confident demeanor - very good written and spoken German and English skills complete your profile.
