Your tasks:

• You thoroughly examine the software in modern rail vehicles for potential security vulnerabilities.
• Using whitebox or blackbox fuzzing, you can track down potential zero-day exploits.
• You implement a proof of concept (PoC) for any security vulnerabilities you find and report the vulnerabilities.
• You investigate protocol implementations such as HTTP or TRDP.

You can build on this foundation:

• You are studying computer science, information technology or a comparable subject with a specialization in computer science.
• You are familiar with C/C++.
• You already have some initial experience with fuzzing (e.g., libFuzzer or AFL++).
• You are familiar with Linux.
• You're interested in security on rail vehicles.
• You have very good German and good English skills, both spoken and written.
• You are characterized by analytical and structured thinking as well as an independent working style.
• Your focus is on developing innovative and efficient software solutions. You use common AI tools such as GitHub Copilot for this purpose.
• And most importantly for us: You enjoy working with others and are curious and open to new topics.
