About your role

As a Consultant / Senior Consultant in the field of Data Engineering & Data Science, you will work hands-on on the conception, development, and implementation of modern data and analytics solutions. You will support the entire project lifecycle – from data acquisition and transformation through analytics and machine learning to productive operation.

You will work closely with data engineers, architects, data scientists and subject matter experts to implement scalable, reliable and value-adding solutions in complex customer environments.

Your tasks

• Application of data science methods (machine learning, deep learning, GenAI) to solve specific business problems
• Working with structured and semi-structured data in data lakes, lakehouses, and data warehouses
• Setting up data pipelines for analytical workloads
• Support in the production implementation of data and ML solutions, including monitoring and optimization.

What you bring – required

Experience & Background

• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in the field of Data Engineering, Data Science or Analytics
• Hands-on experience in implementing data and analytics solutions in (customer) projects
• Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic, implementation-oriented approach to work

Data Engineering Fundamentals

• Experience in building data pipelines (ingestion, transformation, storage)
• Solid understanding of data modeling, data transformations, and feature engineering
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms, e.g.:
• Azure, AWS oder GCP
• Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Azure Synapse / Microsoft Fabric
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and production-ready deployments

Applied Data Science & Analytics

• Experience in the application of GenAI, deep learning and machine learning methods as well as statistical analyses
• Excellent programming skills in Python
• Excellent SQL skills and experience with relational databases
• Experience with the deployment and productive use of ML models
• Ability to translate analytical results into business-relevant insights
• Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to have

• Experience with:
• Streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Azure Event Hubs)
• Time series analyses, NLP use cases or system modeling
• NoSQL-Datenbanken (z.B. MongoDB, Cosmos DB)
• Docker and Kubernetes
• Data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau
• Cloud or architecture certifications

Language & Mobility (Germany)

• Fluent German skills (at least C1 level) for customer communication in the German-speaking market
• Excellent English skills
• Project-related travel willingness
