Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated employee (m/f/d) for the Business Intelligence and Data Engineering department of the Itzehoe Hospital, to start as soon as possible, either full-time or part-time.
As part of our Controlling & Business Intelligence team, you will actively shape the data-driven future of our hospital. In a dynamic healthcare sector, your work will create transparency, support informed decision-making, and make a direct contribution to the quality, efficiency, and improvement of patient care.

What you can expect:

  • You will strategically develop our central data warehouse (Microsoft SQL Server) and drive the modernization of our BI landscape. You will contribute innovative ideas and new technologies.

  • You network and integrate diverse data sources (including SAP, Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, Access, Excel) and build powerful, scalable ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.

  • You structure and model complex data, define KPI logics, and ensure transparent, traceable documentation of the data origin.

  • You will develop interactive reports and dashboards that provide our specialist departments and management with clear decision-making tools.

  • You ensure the stable and high-performance operation of our data platform – from monitoring and performance optimization to ongoing support.

  • You provide expert advice to our stakeholders on data analysis, data management and business intelligence solutions.

Your profile:

  • You have completed vocational training with several years of professional experience or a degree in computer science, business informatics, data science or a comparable qualification and have already gained initial professional experience.

  • You are familiar with relational data models and data warehouse basics and have experience with connecting and processing various source systems.

  • You have fundamental knowledge of SQL

  • You have basic knowledge of database operations, rights management and ideally server operations.

  • You have a good understanding of data quality, data flows, and documentation.

  • Your structured and goal-oriented work, your strong technical understanding and analytical skills set you apart.

  • You take working independently for granted.
