Tasks

  • Developing and evaluating metrics for quality assurance of generated responses in RAG systems
  • Optimizing indexing and search strategies to improve the accuracy and efficiency of RAG applications
  • Developing and implementing data science applications with a cross-functional team and/or external service providers.
  • Performing complex modeling tasks in the field of machine learning (for example, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, etc.) and in the context of GenAI (for example, Large Language Models, Fine-Tuning, etc.)
  • Visualizing and analyzing large datasets, for example to detect bias or data drift; optimizing and maintaining semi-automated MLOps and DevOps processes
  • Close collaboration with product owners and IT specialists to ensure smooth processes and reliable results.
  • Technical development of AI applications based on data analysis insights in collaboration with subject matter experts

Area of ​​activity

DRV Bund IT is the service provider for the German Federal Pension Insurance Fund (Deutsche Rentenversicherung Bund) and develops and operates a complex IT system landscape in close collaboration with its clients.

Profile

  • Successfully completed university education (Bachelor's or Diploma FH) in the IT field or comparable qualification (for example, IT-specific qualification) or completed vocational training in the IT field or comparable several years of practical experience in the IT field.
  • Several years of professional experience in the context of developing machine learning methods and modeling complex automated AI systems, including at least one year in the role of Data Scientist
  • Concrete project experience with agile methodologies for software development, including at least one AI reference project.
  • Experience in the field of Advanced Analytics, Big Data and Data Mining
  • Several years of practical experience in programming languages ​​for data analysis (especially Python) including common machine learning frameworks (for example, scikit-learn, PyTorch)
  • Knowledge of database management systems and container technologies (for example, Kubernetes) and their interaction with traditional database environments
  • Experience in selecting and integrating suitable Large Language Models (LLMs) and adapting them for domain-specific use cases
  • Proactive communication skills, a strong willingness to cooperate, and networked thinking in agile collaboration round off your profile.
