Your tasks
  • ML Product Development: Independent conception, analysis and scaling of data-driven software products (from prototype to productive feature).
  • MLOps & Lifecycle: Building automated ML pipelines (CI/CD) as well as monitoring and maintenance of models in the cloud (e.g. Google Cloud / Vertex AI).
  • Software Design: Active participation in the design of modern software architectures for the control of decentralized energy systems, focusing on performance and scalability.
  • Internal Enablement: Development of tools and interfaces for self-service data access within various departments.
  • Quality assurance: Consistent application of clean code, conducting code reviews, and further development of internal engineering standards.
  • Agile collaboration: Technical leadership and mentoring within the team, as well as close coordination with product owners regarding technical feasibility and effort estimation.
Your profile
  • Education: Successfully completed studies in mathematics, computer science, industrial engineering, renewable energy systems or comparable qualification.
  • Methodology: Sound knowledge of mathematical optimization ( MILP , dynamic optimization) and AI methods such as reinforcement learning .
  • Programming: Proficient command of Python and Java , as well as experienced handling of SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Tech stack: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, modern backend architectures and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform) as well as agile methods (Scrum).
  • Industry knowledge: Experience in the energy sector (e.g. networked systems, sector coupling, intelligent control) is desirable.
  • Mindset: Strong quality standards for one's own code ("Engineering Mindset"), solution-oriented and analytical.
  • Languages: Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written.
