You will apply advanced AI techniques to accelerate every phase of the delivery lifecycle—from analysis and design to build, test, deploy, and operate—driving transformation across complex enterprise landscapes.

As part of the Application & Infrastructure SME team within the ICOE, you will focus on modern application architecture while pioneering the use of agentic AI in real delivery scenarios. You will collaborate closely with Avanade Regions on both direct and indirect deals, supporting them during solving phases as well as during critical delivery phases. Whether modernizing legacy systems or building solutions from scratch, you will apply agentic AI to transform how projects are executed end-to-end.
This is a unique opportunity to influence Avanade's architecture direction, elevate engineering productivity, and lead high-impact initiatives across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
What you'll do
· Architect AI-powered applications using autonomous and semi-autonomous agentic frameworks.
· Apply AI agents across all delivery phases: analysis, design, build, test, deploy, and operations.
· Modernize legacy applications using agentic AI for discovery, transformation, and refactoring.
· Define end-to-end architectures integrating traditional software, LLMs, vector stores, and orchestration.
· Drive AI adoption within Avanade Regions enabling them to shape AI-driven solution roadmaps.
· Contribute to solution planning and design across multi-disciplinary and multi-cloud environments.
· Develop accelerators, reference architectures, and reusable assets for agentic AI patterns.
· Guide engineering, data, and DevOps teams on integrating AI automation and pipelines.
· Travel occasionally for high-value client engagements.
Qualification
Skills and experiences

Bringing over 12 years of expertise in designing and developing enterprise applications, a robust foundation in software engineering is evident. This professional background encompasses thorough architectural oversight—including frontend and backend development, API integration, data management, and cloud infrastructure.

Strong expertise in Java or C# as a primary language, with hands ‑ on experience across multiple additional languages such as Python, Rust, and TypeScript/JavaScript.

Proven track record applying agentic AI to real projects—either modernizing legacy systems or building new solutions.

Hands ‑ on expertise with agentic AI frameworks (eg, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, LangChain, or equivalents).

Ability to apply AI agents across all project phases: requirements, architecture, coding, testing, documentation, deployment.

Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, vector databases, and AI orchestration patterns.

Strong understanding of Azure (preferred), plus hands ‑ on exposure to AWS and GCP.

Experience integrating AI into distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and event ‑ driven architectures.

DevOps and MLOps expertise including CI/CD, IaC, automated testing, observability, and deployment automation.

Familiarity with data engineering, ML models, Responsible AI, and enterprise governance.

Ability to simplify complex AI concepts and communicate effectively with engineers and executives.

Cloud, AI engineering, or architecture certifications are a plus.

Avanade Global Integrated Center of Excellence (ICOE) all existing Centers of Excellence to deliver excellence at scale and strengthen client impact. Its first mission focuses on driving client impact by improving win rates through competitive positioning and presales solving, supporting major deals, and ensuring a smooth transition from sales to delivery. ICOE experts also help jump-start strategic projects and provide consistent SME-based shared services across regions to elevate delivery quality.
The second mission aims at advancing Avanade's Solution Areas and engineering assets by incubating new capabilities, fostering innovation, and developing high-value assets. The ICOE collaborates closely with Markets, Sales & Client Solutions, and Global Practices to ensure alignment, avoid duplication, and drive maximum ROI through governance and data-driven decision making. The third mission focuses on supporting practice and people development across Avanade. They collaborate with Microsoft and Accenture to stay ahead of technology trends and contribute to employee engagement, skill planning, and the growth of technical communities, ensuring strong organizational capability
