Period

  • from August/September 2026 for a period of 6 months

Activities

  • Contributing to the development of an AI-based software product in the automotive sector (thermal management), from data acquisition and preparation to modeling and validation.
  • Agent-based development of tools and workflows to support the team (e.g., for automated data analysis, feature engineering, model iteration, or evaluation)
  • Close collaboration with an international, interdisciplinary team of engineering and AI experts to integrate the developed models and tools into prototype or near-series applications.

Requirements

  • Enrollment in a degree program in Engineering, (Business) Informatics, Computer Science, AI, Physics, Mathematics or a comparable degree program
  • Very good knowledge of Python and relevant AI/ML libraries (e.g. NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow)
  • Solid prior experience in the field of machine learning / data science; ideally, interest in or initial experience with agentic AI approaches.
  • Analytical, independent and structured work style as well as interest in automotive and thermal management applications
  • Good German and English skills
