Job Description
We are looking for you to join our Energy Trading IT department at our Aachen location.
Your tasks – your energy makes the difference
- Analysis work – Analysis and recording of requirements from specialist departments (energy industry and trading; ensuring data quality and consistency in reporting and analysis processes).
- Expert work – support and further development of reporting, analytics and BI solutions; creation of technical concepts, data models and specifications; development and optimization of dashboards and reports; interface between specialist departments (e.g. trading, risk management, portfolio management) and IT
- Product/project work – Close collaboration within the product team to develop internal data platforms for market and business data; participation in IT projects related to data platforms, reporting, and business intelligence.

- Education – Completed studies in (business) informatics, economics or a comparable field of study
- Qualifications – Several years of practical experience as an IT Business Analyst or in a comparable role
- Expertise – Excellent knowledge of reporting, analytics, and business intelligence; hands-on experience with BI tools (Microsoft Power BI); strong SQL skills and experience with data models/data warehouses/data lakehouses; sound experience in the energy sector (especially regarding energy trading processes); ideally, experience using AI to improve business processes and data quality
