Manager Data & AI Governance (w/m/d)

At the Center of Excellence Data, we shape the data foundation for our clients' AI transformation. As Manager Data & AI Governance, you will take on a leading technical role in transformation projects – with a focus on regulated industries, particularly financial services.

You combine strategic governance design with operational implementation and ensure that data platforms are not only high-performing, but also regulatory compliant, auditable and AI-ready.

Your tasks

• Technical leadership in customer projects focusing on data governance and the transition to AI governance
• Development and implementation of data and AI governance frameworks (operating model, roles and responsibilities, policies, controls)
• Design of data domain and data mesh governance structures
• Conducting maturity level analyses, gap analyses and developing transformation roadmaps
• Consulting at the management level on regulatory requirements and their implementation
• Support in the selection and implementation of governance and metadata management solutions
• Integration of governance structures into modern cloud and lakehouse architectures
• Ensuring regulatory compliance – in particular GDPR, DORA and EU AI Act

This is what you bring with you

• Several years of experience (at least 5 years) in the field of data governance, data management or comparable roles
• Proven experience in the design and rollout of governance programs in regulated environments – ideally financial services.
• Deep understanding of regulatory requirements (GDPR, DORA, EU AI Act) and their translation into operational processes
• Experience in developing target operating models and governance structures
• Solid understanding of modern data platforms (Cloud, Lakehouse, Data Warehousing)
• Sovereign consulting expertise at both specialist and management levels.
• Experience in data mesh and domain governance is an advantage.
• Excellent German and English skills.
