For our Data, Processes & Innovation department in Stuttgart , we are looking for a (Senior) Data & AI Specialist (m/f/d) to join us as soon as possible on a full-time basis.

You help unlock the value of data and AI by developing reliable and scalable solutions. Your work transforms modern technology into measurable business impact: through intelligent automation and data insights, you contribute directly to innovation and operational efficiency.

You will support the transformation of our company workflows by implementing automations using traditional, generative, and agentic AI.

What you are working on
  • Development and integration of data science, machine learning, and LLM-based solutions into enterprise workflows
  • Development and operation of data pipelines and AI-supported services using cloud-native technologies
  • Consulting on data and AI solutions to support internal skills development and promote cross-departmental collaboration, tooling, and change.
  • Contribution to streaming and batch data architectures (data lakes, streaming platforms, event-driven systems)
  • Support for MLOps including model versioning, monitoring and lifecycle management – ​​especially from a governance perspective
  • Establishment of "Data Quality by Design" and "AI Compliance by Design" principles
  • Collaboration in interdisciplinary teams with solution architects, data scientists, software engineers and the business to deliver MVPs and production solutions in fast, iterative cycles.
  • Presentation of progress and results to stakeholders
What you bring
  • Completed studies in a STEM subject or in economics – with strong competence in the respective complementary discipline.
  • Several years of professional experience in data engineering, software engineering or AI engineering, as well as strong analytical thinking skills and high problem-solving competence.
  • Excellent programming skills in Python as well as practical experience with cloud platforms and cloud-native development, ideally on AWS
  • Solid hands-on experience with modern data platforms (data lakes, data warehouses, streaming systems) as well as containerization and orchestration (e.g. Docker)
  • Knowledge of MLOps practices, model deployment and monitoring, as well as familiarity with LLMs, generative AI and agentic AI concepts, including RAG architectures and vector databases.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, experience in collaborating with diverse stakeholders in an international environment, and a structured, independent, and reliable work ethic.
  • Experience in organizational change management as well as the ability to build structures and actively shape a data- and process-oriented culture.
  • Excellent German and English skills, both spoken and written.
