We are looking for a Lead Solution Architect for Data & Analytics to design, develop, and govern modern reporting, semantic, and analytics services at our Würzburg location. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end architecture based on Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure/Lakehouse platforms within defined enterprise guidelines and will work closely with cross-product delivery teams.

Your tasks

• Development and design of technical solution architectures for scalable reporting and analytics solutions

• Further development of standardized services based on Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and Azure/Lakehouse platforms

• Ensuring consistent end-to-end analytics architectures within defined platform and enterprise frameworks.

• Definition and further development of technical standards for reporting, KPI frameworks and semantic models

• Design of reusable shared datasets and reporting frameworks to promote central data services

• Support for strategic architecture decisions regarding Fabric Workspaces, authorization concepts, and deployment strategies.

• Establishment and monitoring of reporting and analytics governance as well as associated quality assurance mechanisms

• Participation in the definition of testing concepts as well as KPI and data quality standards.

• Establishment of technical governance mechanisms such as CI/CD standards, deployment pipelines, and quality gates.

• Ensuring scalability, maintainability and reusability of the provided services

• Taking on the role of technical liaison between specialist departments, product teams, business analysts and platform engineering

• Conducting effort estimations and participating in PI planning in agile delivery environments (e.g., SAFe)

• Evaluation of modern Fabric, Azure, and AI functionalities for continuous efficiency improvement in delivery and operations.

• Advising stakeholders on new reporting and analytics requirements

Mandatory requirements

• Experience in the design of reporting, semantic, and analytics solutions

• Experience in building scalable reporting, KPI and consumption architectures

• Understanding data flows, data dependencies, and data quality requirements

• Experience with governance and operating models in the BI/Analytics environment

• Excellent knowledge of Power BI

• Very good knowledge of DAX

• Excellent knowledge of SQL

• Excellent knowledge of data modeling

• Excellent knowledge of Power Query

• Experience in agile delivery organizations (e.g. SAFe)

• Structured and independent work style

• Experience in coordinating between specialist departments, product teams and technical platform teams

• Safe handling of stakeholder management

• Experience in architecture, governance, or platform topics within the analytics environment

Desired requirements

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Fabric
