As an AI & Digital Innovation consultant, you will act as the central contact person for artificial intelligence.

Strategic Management & Operationalization

• Derivation and implementation of the digitalization strategy into concrete initiatives and projects
• Bundling and further developing existing AI and innovation activities
• Development and management of an AI and innovation roadmap
• Ensuring a clear focus on business value and feasibility

Managing AI initiatives & use cases

• Central management and further development of AI initiatives and use cases
• Close coordination with the DFB departments and the IT clusters
• Continuation and expansion of the process for identifying, evaluating and prioritizing use cases
• Monitoring progress and ensuring goal achievement

Technology Scouting & Trends

• Development and maintenance of a structured technology radar
• Continuous monitoring of technological developments (e.g. AI, automation, data platforms)
• Analysis of start-ups, research trends and market movements
• Derivation of concrete recommendations for action for the DFB

AI Governance & Guardrails

• Further development of guidelines for the safe and responsible use of AI
• Coordination with data protection, IT security and compliance
• Support with regulatory requirements (e.g. EU AI Act)
• Definition of standards for the use of AI technologies

Enablement & Empowerment

• Conception and implementation of training courses and workshops on AI and digital technologies
• Building competence in specialist areas (“help for self-help”)
• Development of guidelines, best practices and application examples

AI Platform & Scaling

• Conceptualization and support in the development of potential AI platform modules
• Definition of requirements for architecture, tools and data access
• Promoting reusability and scalability of solutions
• Support in selecting suitable technologies and platforms

Stakeholder and interface management

• Consulting for executives on AI and innovation potential
• Close collaboration with IT clusters and specialist departments
• Translation between strategic goals and technical implementation
• Management of external partners and service providers

That makes you a FOOTBALL MAKER

Technical

• Completed studies in computer science, business informatics, data science or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in the field of digitalization, innovation or AI
• Solid understanding of current AI technologies (especially Generative AI)
• Experience in managing projects or strategic initiatives

Methodically

• Ability to perform structured analysis and evaluation of new technologies
• Experience in building governance and control models
• Experience in moderation, workshop design and knowledge transfer

Personal

• Strategic thinking combined with a strong focus on implementation
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Self-initiative and willingness to shape the future
• Ability to present complex topics in an understandable way
