The Financial Market Data department is the center of expertise for data management and interfaces in the investment environment. It is responsible for the entire lifecycle of FERI-wide financial market data, from procurement and quality assurance to management, analysis, and provision for all relevant areas. The unit manages international data providers and develops smart solutions for connecting fund platforms and systems.

YOUR TASKS
  • Provider management in the area of ​​financial market data (e.g., Bloomberg, LSEG, Morningstar, WM Datenservice): Management and optimization of data providers, including contract management, cost control, and ensuring data quality.
  • Further development of the connection of fund distribution platforms and integration of relevant platform and fund data into internal systems and data-based processes.
  • Automation and optimization of data processes (e.g., using SQL, VBA, Python), as well as the use of modern analysis, reporting, and workflow solutions.
  • Use of generative AI and machine learning methods for the analysis of data , documents and regulatory requirements, as well as for supporting and automating data-driven processes.
  • Leading projects in the data, platform, automation and AI environment – ​​from technical conception to implementation in close collaboration with IT, compliance, risk management and specialist departments.
  • Central interface function for internal stakeholders as well as external data providers, platform partners, IT and other service providers.
  • Active participation in the strategic development of data management , data governance, automation and AI competence within the company.
YOUR PROFILE
  • Qualification : Completed studies in economics, business informatics, financial mathematics or a comparable qualification
  • Experience : At least 3 years in the financial industry, ideally in data management or fund administration.
  • Know-how : Confident handling of financial market data providers and a sound understanding of their data models and connections.
  • Skills : Project management skills, ideally in interdisciplinary teams, and knowledge of common methods
  • Knowledge : Basic understanding of investment funds and the platform business in fund distribution
  • IT/Computer Science : Programming skills in SQL, VBA or Python for analyzing and automating data processes, as well as experience with visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
  • AI: Good understanding of the use of AI in data management, especially for automation and improving data quality
  • Soft Skills : Strong analytical and conceptual skills, coupled with a solution-oriented and independent work style.
  • Language skills : Excellent communication skills and fluent German and English, both spoken and written.
