Job Highlights / Tasks

  • Recording and evaluation of primary data relevant to chemical and hazardous goods regulations for our products and the raw materials used in their manufacture in SAP EHSM
  • Qualification of new/alternative raw materials with regard to the applicable requirements of the hazardous substances regulations for the regions of the European Union, APAC and EMEA.
  • Planning and global implementation of changes in classification and labeling resulting from new findings on the physicochemical, toxicological and/or ecotoxicological profile of our products
  • Participation in projects for the implementation of regulatory changes, relevant business processes and implementation in the SAP EHSM system
  • Daily exchange and coordination tasks within a global team of experts
  • Supporting our hazard communication team in providing safety data sheets
  • Contact person (m/f/d) for business partners inside and outside our company

Experience / Skills

  • Successfully completed studies in the field of chemistry / chemical engineering (MSc./BSc.) or comparable qualification
  • At least 1 year of professional experience in product safety in a globally oriented company in the chemical industry.
  • Sound knowledge of the requirements of the Biocidal Products Regulation, REACH and CLP Regulations
  • Knowledge of the implementation of hazardous substance regulations for the regions of the European Union, APAC and EMEA
  • Expertise in data management (SAP EHSM) in the field of product safety
  • Fluent, subject-specific communication in German and English (both spoken and written)
  • Additional language skills and intercultural competence are an advantage.
