As Head of Master Data Governance, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design and implementation of our global Master Data Management and Governance organization, as well as in supporting current and future master data projects. Join our Transformation/Processes team at our Herborn location.

Master Data Manager (m/f/d)

Tasks
  • Define, develop, and communicate global standards and guidelines for master data quality and data governance.
  • Ensure compliance (e.g. GDPR, ISO 8000) and provide support during audits.
  • Define and globally coordinate lifecycle and security policies for master data (storage, archiving, access).
  • Collect and harmonize new requirements and changes to master data objects and act as an interface between IT, process teams and specialist departments.
  • Ensure documentation and transparency of processes, standards and metadata management
  • Build a network and community, support global projects, and act as 3rd-level support for key users.
  • Conduct training and awareness campaigns on master data governance and data compliance
  • Continuous improvement and optimization of master data management in collaboration with regional/local Master Data Stewards
profile
  • Completed studies in (technical) economics, e.g. business informatics, industrial engineering or business administration, or comparable practical experience in a related field.
  • Experience in master data roles (Master Data Owner/Steward) or in the area of ​​data governance
  • Solid knowledge in data management, including lifecycle, quality, security and data protection.
  • SAP knowledge (ideally R/3 and S/4HANA) and very good MS Office skills
  • Very good German and English skills
  • High data affinity and understanding of business processes and data flows across multiple systems
  • Project and analysis experience, combined with conceptual skills and interdisciplinary thinking
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders, including the ability to convey governance concepts.
