We're looking for a passionate Data Governance Specialist (m/f/d) at our Bayreuth or Lehrte location near Hanover – perhaps that's you?

Your contribution to TenneT

  • You actively drive the introduction and implementation of standardized data processes and ensure their alignment with governance requirements.
  • As a functional specialist for data governance tools, you will support the introduction , further development and application of the data governance framework.
  • You will support data stewards in applying methods related to metadata, business glossaries, and data quality management.
  • In addition, you will conduct data quality and compliance checks , support data analysis, and track measures for continuous improvement.
  • You will communicate the principles of data governance organization-wide and embed standards and guidelines in daily practice.

Your profile

  • You have a completed degree in information management, business administration, or a comparable qualification.
  • You have several years of practical experience in the field of data governance and data management and ideally have already worked with data governance tools.
  • You bring experience in analyzing governance structures and in identifying gaps and optimization potential .
  • Your expertise in communicating data governance topics to technical teams, specialist departments, and management stakeholders in a way that is tailored to the target audience sets you apart.
  • Excellent German and good English skills complete your profile.

Our challenges

The Digital & Organizational Transformation unit develops and drives TenneT's digital transformation strategy and roadmap, managing the portfolio and ensuring sustainable implementation. It leads lighthouse projects using AI and emerging technologies, establishes central data governance, and scouts innovation trends. The unit governs quality and business process excellence through integrated management systems and develops process management capabilities. It steers organizational performance, supports business transformation, and fosters a transformation culture focused on data, innovation, process mindset, and customer/employee centricity.
