As part of our Automation Engineer Platform team, you will be responsible for the fundamental operational stability, reliability, and automation of our platforms, including StackStorm (event-driven automation) and Rundeck (runbook automation).

Your tasks
- Platform Operations & Development : You maintain and develop our infrastructure and platforms. You ensure that our central automation services run efficiently and reliably, and establish best practices for modern platform operations.
- Cloud & Container Orchestration : As an expert in cloud-native technologies, you will orchestrate our container landscape based on Kubernetes.
- Automation : You build scripts and tools to automate recurring tasks to improve operational efficiency.
- Deployment & Release Management : You will be responsible for automating our CI/CD pipelines according to modern SRE principles and ensuring smooth, reliable releases. You will embrace the Git-based workflow (GitOps) and utilize tools such as Azure DevOps, openTofu, Argo-CD, and Helm charts.
- System monitoring & security : You will set up monitoring, alerting and logging systems (e.g., with Grafana, Open Telemetry) to proactively detect problems.
- Incident Response : In the event of service outages or performance problems, you react confidently and ensure a quick resolution.
Your profile
- Tech stack : Secure in Kubernetes and IaC (OpenTofu/Terraform).
- Automation expertise : Experience with GitOps (ArgoCD) and CI/CD pipelines.
- SRE mindset : Experienced in monitoring (Grafana/OpenTelemetry) and incident response.
- Scripting : Fit in Python, PowerShell or Bash.
- Background : Degree in (business) informatics or comparable IT training.
- Languages : Fluent German and good English.
