BI Analyst in Receivables Management

Tasks

  • As a BI analyst in receivables management, you define business and technical requirements for data foundations, reports and dashboards and coordinate these closely with data owners, process owners and KPI champions.

  • You are responsible for collecting, processing and consolidating relevant data and ensuring that the necessary technical connections to systems and data sources are properly prepared and implemented.

  • Your core responsibilities include reviewing and ensuring the quality of data in reporting: You ensure consistent, robust and traceable data structures and guarantee compliance with valid governance guidelines.

  • You will design, develop and maintain interactive BI dashboards and reports that create transparency about relevant key figures and enable sound management in receivables management.

  • You systematically compile and document domain knowledge in receivables management, thereby creating a robust knowledge base for data-driven decisions and further developments.

  • As part of ad-hoc analyses, you prepare complex questions in a way that is appropriate for the target audience and derive meaningful insights for process owners, management and other stakeholders.

  • Furthermore, you will provide operational support to Process Owners and Management in their areas of responsibility and enable other employees to use data, reports and key figures securely.

Requirements

  • You have a completed university degree at Master's level, ideally with a focus on IT, or a comparable qualification.

  • Furthermore, you have at least three years of experience in implementing complex dashboards in commercially available BI tools and are familiar with the respective system-specific technologies and areas of application.

  • Good knowledge of SQL as well as in the modeling of data marts, data cubes and reporting structures distinguishes you and supports you in the development of robust data models.

  • You have very good written and spoken English skills and can express yourself confidently in technical and professional contexts.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills will help you to present complex analyses in an understandable way and to confidently engage different target groups.

  • Your work style is characterized by a high degree of independence, resilience, strong analytical skills and systematic thinking.

  • Flexibility and ideally some initial industry knowledge in the energy or utilities sector round off your profile.

As a Data Analyst in Receivables Management, you will be a key driver of data-driven decisions across the entire end-to-end process chain – from the early detection of payment defaults and dunning and collection strategies to the evaluation of measures and results.
You will analyze complex data structures, identify patterns, and develop meaningful key performance indicators (KPIs) and forecasts that enable targeted management. You will combine analytical thinking with a deep understanding of our business processes and translate data into concrete recommendations for action.
Working closely with specialist departments, IT interfaces, and external partners, you will drive the further development of reporting, automation, and data-driven solutions. Your contribution will ensure that efficiency, transparency, and customer experience are sustainably optimized.
