Tasks
- Development of sophisticated Power BI reports and dashboards for specialist departments and decision-makers.
- Development and maintenance of semantic models including DAX modeling, relationships and calculations
- Optimization of report performance and data models
- Advising specialist departments on requirements gathering, defining key performance indicators, and developing visualization concepts.
- Compliance with and further development of reporting standards and governance guidelines
- Use of LLM-supported tools (e.g., Copilot) and code automation to accelerate development, analysis, and documentation.
- Support for data pipelines, Gen2 dataflows, and notebooks in Microsoft Fabric
- Participation in ETL processes and modeling of data along the Medallion Architecture
- Implementation of data models (Star Schema) for analytical workloads
- Collaboration with the Data Architecture Team in the discovery and integration of new data sources
Profile
- Completed studies (preferably in the field of computer science) or completed vocational training (e.g. as an IT specialist) or comparable qualifications through professional experience
- More than 5 years of practical experience in the data environment (BI, Analytics, Data Engineering)
- At least 1 year of practical experience with Microsoft Fabric · Microsoft DP-600 certification (Fabric Analytics Engineer) – mandatory
- Very good knowledge of Power BI, DAX and data modeling (Star Schema, Semantic Models) at an advanced level.
- Good knowledge of SQL as well as practical experience with PySpark or Python in the context of data pipelines and notebooks.
- Prior experience with LLMs (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) and code automation in daily development work is advantageous.
- Strong communication and consulting skills in dealing with specialist departments and decision-makers.
- Very good German and English skills
