Software Engineer (m/w/d) PHP, .NET & Legacy Modernization

In our IT department, we coordinate all aspects of the digital transformation at Getränke Hoffmann.
Our teams specialize in POS systems, data engineering and analytics, data science, software development, networks and administration, IT security, ERP, and IT project management .
Our mission is to develop Getränke Hoffmann into a data-driven, digital retail company that is ready for any future challenge!

Your tasks:

  • You develop new applications and services based on PHP and .NET.
  • You will design, develop, and maintain REST APIs and technical interfaces for our company systems.
  • You will integrate ERP systems, POS systems, CRM solutions and other business applications into our system landscape.
  • You continuously develop existing applications and support the modernization of our growing IT landscape.
  • You analyze technical challenges and ensure a sustainable and long-term solution.
  • You identify technical debt, continuously reduce it, and gradually migrate existing applications to modern architectures.
  • You actively participate in technical concepts and architectural decisions.
  • You support deployments, releases, and rollouts.
  • You conduct code reviews and ensure high software quality.
  • You will work closely with specialist departments, product owners, and development teams to develop sustainable and scalable solutions.

Your profile:

Must-have:

  • You have several years of experience in software development with PHP and/or .NET.
  • You have very good knowledge of C#
  • You have experience in developing REST APIs and technical interfaces.
  • You are very familiar with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
  • You are proficient in using Visual Studio, Git, and modern development tools.
  • You have experience working with Windows and Linux environments.
  • You bring experience in dealing with legacy systems and established application landscapes.
  • You work in a structured, independent and solution-oriented manner.
  • You enjoy teamwork and developing sustainable software solutions. You have very good German skills, both spoken and written.

Nice-to-have:

  • You have experience with different PHP frameworks and PHP application landscapes.
  • You are familiar with Docker and Kubernetes
  • You have experience with Microsoft Azure
  • You have experience with modern CI/CD processes.
  • You have knowledge of modern software architectures.
  • Ideally, you have gained experience in the trade, retail or e-commerce sector.
  • You are familiar with ERP, POS, CRM or PIM solutions.
  • You are interested in modernizing and successfully developing existing system landscapes.
