Job Description

WHO WE ARE

With over 4.5 million members in its studios, the RSG Group is one of the world's leading fitness companies. Founded in 1997 by Rainer Schaller and still family-owned, the RSG Group has grown into an international enterprise. Including its franchisees, it employs 10,000 people at over 900 locations and operates in more than 30 countries. Its extensive and future-oriented portfolio comprises nine innovative brands, including Gold's Gym, McFIT, and the JOHN REED Family. The RSG Group continually sets new standards, ensuring it remains an integral part of its customers' active lifestyles.

WHAT YOU WIN

  • Be yourself: Come as you are – we
    value individuality.
  • Work-life balance: Use flexible working hours to
optimally balance work and studies/private life.
  • Fit and healthy: Take advantage of free membership at McFIT, John
Reed and Gold's Gym throughout Europe.
  • Team spirit: Experience flat hierarchies and open communication
on equal terms. Participate in regular team and company events
and strengthen team cohesion. Spend relaxing breaks in our
fully equipped kitchen, ideal for shared celebrations.

WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH US

  • Ad-hoc SQL analyses: You translate questions from specialist departments, controlling and marketing into clean SQL queries on Snowflake and deliver reliable results.
  • Maintain and develop dashboards: You make changes to existing dashboards, build smaller new views, and ensure that the reports run reliably.
  • Keeping an eye on data quality: You help to check for anomalies in the data and escalate them to the right person in the team.
  • Documentation: You document queries, KPI definitions, and dashboard logic to ensure that knowledge remains within the team.
  • Team relief: You will become part of the 2-week sprints and take on smaller tickets independently – with clear sparring from senior colleagues.

WHY THE ROLE IS EXCITING

  • A truly modern stack: Snowflake, Coalesce, Fivetran, Git, CI/CD – tools that allow you to start working immediately after graduation.
  • Small senior team: You work directly with experienced data engineers and the Head of Data – no anonymous pool, no “student trainee silo”.
  • Visible work: Your analyses end up in decisions made by departments and management – not gathering dust in a drawer.
  • Flexibility: 20 hours/week, reducible during exam periods. Hybrid (Berlin office + remote)

WHAT CONVINCES US

  • Enrollment: Currently enrolled in a degree program (Computer Science, Business Informatics, Statistics, Business Administration with a Data Focus, etc.), with at least 1 year remaining.
  • SQL: Solid basic knowledge – you can write joins, aggregations, and CTEs from memory. Snowflake experience is nice, but not required.
  • BI affinity: First contact with a BI tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Metabase) – the main thing is that you understand the principle.
  • Work style: Structured, reliable, curious. You prefer to ask questions rather than deliver something incorrect.
  • Languages: German fluent, English good enough for the documentary and tickets.
  • Nice-to-have: Basic Python knowledge, Git, experience with dbt/Coalesce – not a must, but you can familiarize yourself with it.

ARE WE A GOOD FIT?

For over 25 years, the RSG Group has offered a unique corporate culture that fosters individuality: We see people as people and therefore as valuable to us all. We encourage and challenge our employees. If you are talented and a good fit for us, you will find the opportunities and challenges you've always been looking for.
We look forward to hearing from you!
