For over 50 years, we have been developing, testing, and producing high-end technical solutions for the German Armed Forces and the armed forces of allied nations. Tasks:
- Development and further development of software components in the field of data management and data platforms.
- Design and implementation of scalable backend services for data integration, processing and exchange
- Development and maintenance of APIs and interfaces to customer, partner and third-party systems
- Implementation of functions for data validation, data quality and data harmonization.
- Development of ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines
- Collaboration on the architecture and technical development of the products
- Optimization of performance, scalability and maintainability of existing applications
- Conducting code reviews and ensuring high software quality through automated tests and CI/CD
- Support with technical analysis, troubleshooting, and the operation of productive solutions
- Close collaboration with Product Management, Data Engineering and Customer Projects in implementing new requirements
Requirements:
- Completed studies in computer science, business informatics or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in software development with a focus on backend, as well as sound knowledge of at least one modern programming language
- Experience with relational databases and ideally also NoSQL databases, REST APIs and distributed systems
- Knowledge of data models, data integration, and ETL/ELT processes
- Confident handling of GitLab and modern development and build processes
- Structured, analytical and solution-oriented work style, as well as strong teamwork skills and a high degree of personal responsibility.
- Excellent German skills and good English skills
