Montanstahl is a leading international manufacturer of customized steel profiles, headquartered in Stabio, Switzerland.
As part of our company-wide AI transformation, we are looking for an AI & Data Platform Lead to design and develop the technical foundation connecting enterprise data, business applications and AI capabilities.
This is a senior, hands-on role: you will define the architecture and standards while also building and delivering solutions.
What you will do
- Define and evolve the company’s AI, data and integration architecture
- Design secure integrations between ERP systems, legacy applications, Microsoft 365 and cloud services
- Build and manage APIs, ETL/ELT pipelines and AI-ready data solutions
- Establish data governance standards covering quality, ownership, access, retention and security
- Identify and deliver AI initiatives with measurable business value
- Lead the adoption of approved LLM platforms and support users with practical guidance and training
- Evaluate new technologies from a business, technical, security and compliance perspective
- Guide internal technical teams and external partners
What we are looking for
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, applications integration or similar technical roles
- Strong knowledge of APIs, ETL/ELT, orchestration, monitoring and error handling
- Hands-on experience designing or operating data platforms in production
- Experience with data governance and access-control models
- Practical experience delivering GenAI or LLM applications used by real users
- Ability to combine technical leadership with hands-on delivery
- Good working proficiency in Italian and English
Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Power Platform, OpenAI or Anthropic is a plus. Experience in manufacturing, ERP or MES environments is also welcome.
