The Frankfurt am Main professional fire brigade is one of the largest and most modern professional fire brigades in Germany. At the same time, with approximately 1,200 employees, it is one of the largest departments within the Frankfurt am Main city administration.
Twelve fire and rescue stations are spread throughout the city, where over 1,000 firefighters are on duty around the clock, 365 days a year, to protect and ensure the safety of the citizens and visitors of our city. Our staff in key areas such as training, IT, administration, and our workshops ensure smooth operations through their work.
We are looking to fill the following position as soon as possible:

Cyber ​​Security Analyst (f/m/d)

Full-time, Part-time
Pay grade 11 TVöD (€51,235.68 to €75,921.24 gross annual salary, depending on professional experience)

Your responsibilities include:

  • Active monitoring of IT, OT and cloud environments, as well as analysis of logs, messages and alerts for the early detection and prevention of security incidents.
  • Identification, prioritization and tracking of vulnerabilities and security incidents, coordination and documentation of countermeasures
  • Continuous development of SIEM/SOAR use cases, dashboards and automations
  • Contributing to security guidelines and hardening concepts, as well as conducting regular risk and compliance analyses.
  • Support for audit, disaster recovery and emergency processes to ensure high operational and crisis resilience.

They bring with them:

  • Completed university degree (Bachelor's) in computer science, mathematics, cyber/IT security or a comparable field with a mathematical-technical focus, or equivalent completed training with several years of relevant professional experience.
  • Comprehensive and detailed specialist and methodological knowledge of IT security architectures, IT system and network architectures, IT package and IT protocol analysis, security configuration of operating systems, as well as vulnerabilities and threats.
  • in-depth knowledge of security, information and incident management (SIEM) as well as detection and response systems
  • Advanced scripting and automation skills in Bash, Python, and PowerShell
  • analytical, methodical and goal-oriented approach to complex tasks
  • Cooperation skills and intercultural competence
  • holistic and service-oriented thinking as well as a good grasp of concepts
  • German and English language skills at level C1 or equivalent
