What awaits you

• AI & LLM Engineering: You will develop and implement AI and LLM-based solutions for our internal processes in the Security Operations Center. Your focus will be on the integration and operation of Large Language Models, the design of autonomous AI agents, and the use of modern agentic frameworks/harnesses (e.g., pi-agent).
• Local AI infrastructure: Together with the team, you will manage and operate our local AI infrastructure and hardware – currently on Apple Mac servers with tools such as Open WebUI, llama.cpp and vLLM, and in the future on an additional high-end Nvidia server.
• AI Integration & Automation: You will develop interfaces and automations to integrate AI agents and LLM solutions into existing systems, processes, and security workflows. This includes developing your own applications and scripts in Python and connecting security tools via APIs and protocols such as the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Local Models & Optimization: You will work with local AI models (e.g., Qwen, GLM, Gemma), their selection, deployment, benchmarking, and targeted fine-tuning and optimization for our use cases.
• Security Automation & SOAR: Security automation is an equally central part of your role. You will develop and optimize automations for cybersecurity processes and create playbooks and integrations with Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR.
• Further development: You monitor new developments in the field of AI, LLMs and Security Automation and actively contribute new technologies, tools and ideas to our technical development.

What makes you stand out

• Your background: You have completed a degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, IT security or a comparable qualification – or you can impress us with relevant practical experience.
• Your AI expertise: You possess in-depth knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and have already gained practical experience in their use, integration, and deployment. Topics such as model architectures, agentic AI frameworks, context management, and MCP are familiar to you.
• Your tool experience: Ideally, you have already worked with technologies and tools such as Open WebUI, llama.cpp, vLLM, pi-agent or similar AI/LLM frameworks and know how to deploy, configure and operate local models on Mac and Nvidia systems.
• Your programming skills: You are proficient in Python and have experience with modern software development. Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, SecOps principles, n8n, and Docker will help you develop and deploy your solutions professionally.
• Your security expertise: Ideally, you have a background in cybersecurity and are familiar with security technologies and processes. Experience with SOAR platforms, especially Cortex XSOAR, as well as with playbook development and security automation, is a major plus.
• Your work style: You work analytically, independently, and in a solution-oriented manner. You enjoy trying out new technologies, understanding complex technical relationships, and developing practical solutions from them. Your personality: You are a communicative team player and can explain complex technical topics in an understandable way. You are fluent in both German and English.
