Data Manager (m/f/d)

selly is a software company from Berlin. 25 years ago, we began digitizing the ordering process for the catering and institutional food service industry. Today, our FoodService Cloud connects thousands of kitchens in hospitals, nursing homes, daycare centers, company restaurants, restaurants, and cafeterias with hundreds of suppliers, from small family businesses to large corporations. Our solution makes the ordering process as simple and efficient as possible, helping our customers achieve their most important goal: successfully feeding their residents, patients, and guests!

Tasks:

• You create concepts and documentation for connecting new data sources, ensuring that our millions of product data entries, prices, and assortments are always up-to-date and accurate.
• You implement your developed concepts within the framework of projects, utilizing a wide variety of technologies, so that we can efficiently and accurately transfer mass data from our trading partners into our systems and pass it on to partner systems.
• You maintain and monitor existing data integration processes to ensure the operation of our platform, identify weaknesses, and implement optimizations.
• In addition, you will work on analyses and evaluations that allow us to extract important insights from our extensive data pool and apply them to business decisions.

Requirements:

• You have completed vocational training or a degree in IT, or you have relevant professional experience.
• You have relevant experience in dealing with relational databases and different interface technologies.
• You are familiar with data integration, data transformation, and data modeling, and have good knowledge of suitable data architectures.
• You have at least some experience in a common programming language.
• You are proficient with Microsoft Office solutions.
• Ideally, you have experience with ETL tools or workflow management systems or similar solutions.
• Ideally, in addition to German, you have a solid command of English or even another language.

• You find analytical thinking easy and enjoy breaking down big problems into smaller ones and coming up with solutions to difficult questions.
• You prefer an independent and self-organized way of working, and at the same time you can successfully integrate into an existing team.
• Even when things get hectic and there's a lot to do, you don't lose sight of the big picture, but keep the important goals in mind.
• You enjoy working with and learning about new technologies.
• You find the right balance between compromise and consideration in teamwork and assertiveness where necessary.
