Internship in management consulting

Start date by arrangement | Germany-wide | Full-time internship | Mandatory or voluntary internship | Subsequent work-study program possible
Security concepts for energy projects, smart factory initiatives, and digital strategies – not as a final checkpoint, but from the very beginning. At UNITY, you'll help develop cybersecurity roadmaps that our clients actually use.

This is what you can expect

  • Help shape roadmaps: Together with our consultants, you will develop cybersecurity concepts for corporate and medium-sized business clients from the energy, industrial and other sectors.
  • Uncovering security gaps: You support gap analyses in ongoing security projects – from inventory to recommendations for action.
  • Sharing knowledge: You design training modules and interactive exercise environments for internal teams and customers*.
  • Next up: After a successful internship, you have the option of a working student position.

Artificial Intelligence @UNITY

At UNITY, you'll work with AI that we build ourselves: Our central AI team is constantly rolling out new solutions, and you can help shape your own AI solutions through coding communities, hackathons, and AI labs. For clients, we deploy AI, for example, using our proprietary Unity X platform.

This is what you bring with you

Must-haves:

  • Initial experience in cybersecurity projects or project management (e.g., through studies, student work or own projects).
  • A quick understanding of complex IT architectures and a desire to ask "Why not?" when a solution is unusual.
  • Using artificial intelligence effectively and safely – the confident handling of common AI tools in everyday work is a prerequisite.
  • Understanding of business and technical contexts, quick comprehension and careful working style.
  • Excellent MS Office and English skills.

Ideally:

  • Excellent academic performance in an advanced Bachelor's degree program in (Business) Informatics or Business Administration with a focus on Business Informatics.

Not a 100% match on paper? For us, it's more important that you persevere through a challenging task than that you can tick off every single point above. We invest in your professional and personal development.

Frankly,
this role isn't for you if compliance documentation and gap analyses are too dry for you, or if you prefer using ready-made tools instead of understanding why a system is vulnerable. However, if you're intrigued by how to translate security thinking into very different industries – from energy providers to smart factories – then this is the right place for you.

Your chances at UNITY

  • Responsibility from day 1: not a support internship – you get your own work package and contribute your own ideas, at the location or in the project (e.g. in our sustainability initiatives or at sports events and trips with the team).
  • Working together on equal terms: flat hierarchies and a first-name basis culture from day one – your professional input counts, not your title.
  • Structured onboarding: a dedicated contact person will take care of you and be there for you throughout your entire internship.
  • Your studies come first: working hours and models that are geared towards your timetable.
  • students@UNITY: a community of interns and working students who also meet outside of work – at all UNITY locations throughout Germany.
  • Real perspective: a good internship with us is not the end, but the beginning – working student positions and the path to permanent employment are real next steps, not just lip service.
Our locations , where you can work throughout Germany: Berlin, Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich, Nuremberg, Paderborn/Büren, or Stuttgart.
