Dentsu is a global marketing and advertising agency network founded in Tokyo in 1901 and now operating in more than 145 countries. Together with our clients, we create impactful media experiences on leading global platforms, produce content, and develop influencer programs.

With our unique combination of media, customer experience management and creative, we transform business models and enable sustainable growth for brands, people and society.

Do you want to help shape data-driven marketing decisions and learn how to measure the contribution of communication measures (such as TV advertising or online ads) to brand and sales KPIs? In this role, you will be part of our Media Analytics team and primarily support the development and application of attribution models such as marketing mix models (MMM), from the data foundation to recommendations for budget allocation.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY:

  • You will support the conception, data preparation and documentation of marketing mix models (MMM) for branding and/or performance goals.
  • You analyze heterogeneous data sources (e.g., media spend, campaign KPIs, sales/leads, promotional, pricing, and seasonal data) and check data quality and plausibility.
  • You will participate in the modeling process (e.g., regression, time series approaches, adstock/saturation functions) and support the validation and interpretation of the results.
  • You create scenarios and budget simulations and, together with the team, derive concrete optimization and action recommendations.
  • You prepare results in a recipient-oriented manner (charts/slides, short executive summaries) and present insights and recommendations in meetings/workshops – both internally and to clients.
  • You will work closely with colleagues from data science, consulting, technology and marketing, and develop your skills in methods and tools on the job.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Completed (or nearing completion of) a degree with a quantitative focus, e.g., (business) informatics, statistics, mathematics, economics, data science, or a comparable field of study
  • First practical experience with data analysis (e.g. internship, working student position, thesis) and a desire to learn about marketing mix modeling
  • Strong knowledge of statistics/econometrics (e.g., multiple regression, multivariate methods, time series analysis, hypothesis testing) and a passion for questioning and rigorously validating models; knowledge of marketing/media KPIs is a plus.
  • Programming/analysis skills in Python and/or R, as well as proficiency in Excel; SQL is an advantage.
  • You enjoy working with customers and external service providers/partners and are willing to gather requirements, coordinate agreements, and convincingly represent results.
  • Structured, meticulous work style, strong analytical thinking skills, and a passion for explaining complex concepts in an understandable way.
  • Team spirit, a strong willingness to learn, and very good written and spoken German and English skills.
