 We are looking for a Data Engineer (m/f/d) as Senior Consultant (m/f/d) for our Department of Digitalization and IT - Data and Automation Division - starting on 1 September 2026 as parental leave cover, likely limited to 31 July 2027.
Data Engineer (m/f/d)
With your expertise, you contribute to fail-safe software that saves lives in emergencies, ensuring smooth operations for more than 73 million people with statutory health insurance.

Your tasks

  • They model and implement Business Intelligence (BI) solutions based on Oracle Exadata and MicroStrategy.
  • They plan and oversee updates, installations, and configurations of the BI software.
  • They are driving forward controls to improve data quality/validity.
  • They provide support in the planning and implementation of process optimizations in the area of ​​data management.
  • They coordinate requirements for data analysis with the specialist departments and provide them with expert advice and support in the use of health data.
  • They implement complex data analyses and independently drive the development of dashboards and automated feedback reports.
  • You implement the solutions you have designed, right up to the rollout.

Your profile

  • You have a completed degree, ideally in business/medical or technical computer science.
  • A good understanding of DWH and BI architectures
  • Experience with BI and database technologies, as well as good SQL and Python skills.
  • Knowledge in the field of reporting and data visualization
  • Good knowledge in the areas of data analysis, data modeling and data integration
  • Solution-oriented thinking, creativity, and strong analytical skills.
  • strong team orientation
  • Experience in the healthcare sector is advantageous.
  • Language skills (CEFR level): German at least C1
